How did DiscipleShips come to existence?

Before the founders, Matthew and Sharon Allen, were engaged (March 2018), God started to speak and invited them to partner with Him, He showed His dream and showed how their lives together could serve Him in a different and deeper way. Even with how different they are and their skills, He can use them to do missions together. They got excited for this and knew that He gave the different skills and education for a purpose.
While reading the book ‘The Circle Maker‘ by Mark Batterson (April 2019) God spoke about flotillas of small vessels, catamarans, sail boats and water planes, to go in groups of at least three vessels to the isolated and hard to reach regions of the world. Starting with a catamaran to go into Micronesia.
While doing a course (beginning of 2020) with the focus on discipleship and that it starts with themselves. God showed the importance of going God Speed, which is very nice because being on a sailboat will help each person to slow down and to go God’s speed. Because going God’s speed will slow people down and the opportunity is given to hear the Holy Spirit better, to walk in His footsteps on the path He has prepared.
Over the years God has been revealing more and more. He showed to go to the hard to reach places in the world through sailing, to share the Good News to the people, to disciple them to read and study the Bible by themselves, help them where they would like to receive help. This all simply by living life with them and getting to know them and their culture by pointing them in everything they do to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
