Before God invited us to finish the Limelight, we already had done some of the work, and the planning for the whole rebuild was made. Enjoy watching the video!
Introducing the Limelight
We would like to introduce to you the Limelight, this is a MacGregor Venture 21, trailer sailor. This is one of our partnering vessels.
God spoke to us to fix this one up in the coming season and we would like to take you along as we finish this vessel and prepare it for service. Hopefully it will be utilized to teach and inspire individuals for the Kingdom.
Coming together
God showed us that miracles happen when the body of Christ comes together, how when we all have a part of being His hands and feet here on earth, it just looks different for every person. DiscipleShips needs for the body of Christ to come together. We made a video of how you can be part of making a miracle come through.
Thank you for your partnership. Be blessed!
Plan & Partnership
The plan
We go by boat with flotillas (groups of vessels) into these isolated places to meet the people, love on the people by helping them with the needs that they convey, and telling them the Good News of Jesus Christ. Then walking with them making disciples as Jesus commanded. Flotillas allow us to work as teams instead of lone individuals. This is biblical. Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NLT) tells us, “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”
Short term action plan
The short term action plan is to get our first vessel and bring it to Micronesia. The vessel is currently in Florida, and will sail to Corpus Christi; from there to Panama where it will assist the established ministries already there; to Mexico (Mazatlan) where we might do the same; and then over to Hawaii. From there it will be accompanied by two other vessels, not from DiscipleShips, and set sail to Micronesia, hopefully with a stop in the Marshall Islands. In each of these locations we will work together with local missionaries, so the people on the vessel can learn the customs of the islands and learn what to do and what not to do. There are people waiting on us to get there to help them facilitate ministry options that were previously not available due to geographical difficulties.
How can you be part of the Solution
We need your prayers. We have the opportunity to acquire a vessel fit for this task, an ocean-going sailing Catamaran that sleeps 12, has two water makers and special refrigeration to bring fresh water and lifesaving vaccines to the isolated of the world. We are trying to raise between $800,000 and $1,000,000 to launch us out, without delay. Some of this cost is unknown as we prayed to arrive at these numbers. We expect there to be equipment on the boat that will need upgrades and replacement as well as new equipment to be added to better and safer execute our mission. Our current resources are small but growing and we are believing for God to complete His mission. Will you join us by partnering financially. Thank you very much for considering partnering with us in different ways.
